Preparations for an important spring season are fully underway, and this week the team has increased the intensity of the training.
Renewed energy
After a well-completed break, during which the players have had time to recharge and recover from the busy autumn season, which also included two quarter-final matches in the cup tournament in December, the team is now ready to tackle the second part of the season with renewed energy. The coaching staff has worked hard to prepare the boys for the upcoming matches, and the first results are already starting to show.
Focus on intensification
After a period of focus on restart-ups and trial players, the focus has now shifted to intensification and improvement. Head coach David Roufpanah shares his thoughts on the current training week.
“After most of the trial players have left, there is more focus on us as a team. This week we have mainly focused on our style of play and on how we continue to build on the fitness of the team so that we can be at a fitness level that suits the type of football that we want to play. Therefore, the training load has increased this week. We have had very intense trainings, but it also works really well with this group. It’s a very, very ambitious group,” says head coach David Roufpanah.
The training matches must be used for tactical adjustments
Although there is currently a lot of focus on the team’s fitness, the upcoming friendlies will primarily be used to implement the tactical aspects that the coaching staff wants to add to the team’s style of play before the first tournament match.
“Right now, we’re just aiming to step by step increase the load, increase the intensity and achieve the goals we have. So we are working a lot with the physical aspect right now. It is clear that we must also make it more tactical step by step. So it’s basically the process leading up to the training matches. When we have these games, it’s also to implement more of our style of play tactically.”
