AB Gladsaxe will travel to Middelfart tomorrow, Saturday 23 September 2023, to play matchday 8 in the 2nd division. Patrick Stenzel Rasmussen whistles the match at the cozy and intimate Middelfart Stadium at 14.00.
Over the years, many AB fans have stood on the rampart on one long side and followed some exciting and even clashes between the two teams. AB has often had a hard time at Middelfart Stadium. Middelfart are promoted from the 3rd division. Middelfart was at the top of the 3rd division all last season and impressed greatly by already securing promotion four games before the end of the season. Middelfart have taken last season’s good play to the 2nd division, where they occupy fourth place with fourteen points. AB comes to the match with confidence after Saturday’s great win over Fremad Amager. The win brought the team back into the Top 6, where they have nine points in sixth place.
Neither team has players in quarantine.
Rasmus Brodersen says after today’s training: “It was great to win last week. It has given a really good atmosphere in the squad. It has been a really good training week with lots of spirits. We have to go to Middelfart and chase the three points, and we believe in it. We have to build on the good play we have shown, with a good, definitive foundation, and then we have to continue our offensive tactics. We must continue to bring intensity to the game. We have trained as always purposefully and with focus on the next game and the three points.”
Head coach David Roufpanah gives the match these words on the way: “Nice win last week – it always gives a good mood and new energy. It has been good and we have been focused. Of course, we have looked at Middelfart and analyzed them. They are a really strong team that plays really well together. They have only conceded four goals. It will be very interesting to meet such a team. We have to look at all the teams that are coming, and there will be good and bad periods. We hope that we are in the process of a really good period – that would be great”.
