AB Gladsaxe will face tomorrow, Saturday 16 September at 18:00, Fremad Amager at Gladsaxe Stadium. It will be an incredibly important match between two teams that have not had the flying start to the season that they had hoped for. AB occupies 8th place with six points, and Fremad Amager occupies 9th place, also with six points. Both teams need three points to keep the TOP-6 within reach. The two clubs have fought many great matches throughout history, and it has always been with a lot of spectators and a good atmosphere in the spectators. However, the last match, where the two teams crossed swords and played for points, dates back to May 2017, when both Fremad Amager and AB played in the 1st division. Fremad Amager has Hans Christian Bonnesen in quarantine, while AB has no players in quarantine. Both teams come into the match with defeats in the last match. Fremad Amager lost to Aarhus Fremad, and AB lost to FC Roskilde after perhaps the worst game of the season. Niclas Gomes looks after the whistle, and he has Søren Lehmann and Yasin Seker on the lines. The coaching staff can choose the starting line-up from these players:
1 Indy Groothuizen
3 Erik Lindell
4 Adrien Koudelka
5 Rasmus Brodersen
6 Daniel A. Pedersen
8 Darren Sidoel
10 Layton Ndukwu

18 Lucas Eagle
21 Ilias Namli
22 Tim Freriks
24 Mark Garly Pedersen
26 Christian Espensen Troelsen
27 Emiliano Arrieta
28 Emiliano Gomez
30 Julius Lind

Head coach David Roufpanah said immediately after today’s training: “There was really good energy in the last training session before the game. An energy we would very much like to bring to the match tomorrow. We weren’t completely satisfied with the last game, so we hope we can take the energy from training.
We have also strengthened the squad with Darren Sidoel, so now we will see. We have a good feeling that we are well prepared for the match. The players know how we should play and how we want the match to go. We get problems in games like the one against Roskilde when we don’t manage to play on our terms. We will play on their terms.
So we have to play our way and with our identity. Fremad Amager has some good players who have played on the team in the 1st division. So we have great respect for them. They have had a tough start to the season and should have won a few more games than they have. In the last game, they received a red card and had to play a large part of the game with ten men. We have great respect for Fremad Amager, but focus on our own game and the three points that lie ahead.”
Rasmus Brodersen said with sweat on his forehead: “We are very much looking forward to coming to home tomorrow and are working purposefully, because we need them. We want to hit some better patterns and find each other better. Hopefully it gives some goals and also that we hit the game we had against Esbjerg. The training has been good, and every match is a final. So we will focus on working for a good fight.”
