Victory of 4-0 in the Oddset Cup

AB Gladsaxe played Tuesday night against Frederiksberg Boldklub (FB) on artificial turf in Frederiksberg. The match ended with a deserved 4-0 victory for AB and was attended by about 350 spectators.

AB has most of the game from the start of the match, and despite the many changes, the game flows well with quick combinations. FB came up with some chances and played well over the edges. However, the great opportunities did not come .

AB spent the first 10 minutes getting together in The newe constellationis as head coach Joye Gudjonsson had announced in the run-up to the match. Albert Gaub-Jakobsen started on goal. Pachanga Kristensen and Noah Ibsen delivered a great performance in central defence throughout the match. Frederik Lindgaard played on the right side of defense and on the left side played Malte Melin. In midfield, Daniel A. Pedersen and Agust Hlysson. On the wings played O’Vonte Mullings and Flamur Dzelili. At the top were Emil Mygind and Christian Wagner.

AB had many finishes – not least on crosses from the wings. It triggered many corner kicks, and on one of them, Daniel A. Pedersen could put AB ahead 1-0 after 20 minutes.
After the goal, AB sat even more on the game, and there were bigger chances for Emil Mygind and O’Vonte Mullings, who both burned. 5 min. before the break, AB makes it 2-0 on a goal by Agust Hlysson
after good preparatory work by Frederik Lindgaard and Emil Mygind.

At halftime, Darren Sidoel replaced Daniel A. Pedersen, Agust Hlysson left the field and was replaced by Noah Maale, who thus made his debut and played a really good 2nd half. The match picture with AB as the leader continued in the 2nd half, where AB sat on much of the game.
During the 2nd half, Christian Wagner left the field and was replaced by Tobias Hageltorn, who thus also made his debut and took his place at the top.
Daniel Jacobsen replaced O’Vonte Mullings and played left back, and Malte Melin was put forward in the attack. Rasmus Brodersen came on the field in place of Flamur Dzelili.

A return ball from FB’s goalkeeper gives Emil Mygind the chance to score – and he makes it 3-0. A minute later, a penalty is awarded to Emil Mygind, who himself kicks the ball safely into the goal for the final score 4-0 after a controlled and well-organized match.

Head coach Joye Gudjonsson said after The match: “Cup matches can be difficult when you play against a team from a lower league. I think our performance was really professional and everyone took part in the game. They did really well with a lot of energy. Our defense was good and overall it was good performances from all players.
I’m really happy to see the younger players. We had Pachanga, Noah Ibsen, Noah Dimensions and Daniel on the field. Then it was also gratifying to see Myg on the field today. He did well and scored two goals.
Now we have to go back to the tournament in the next match, where Elsinore will be at Gladsaxe Stadium. We have to have a strong approach to that game and we have to be ready for a difficult game, because it is a good opponent. I know that our players have a good character and after the good performance today, I know we will follow up on the good beats on Friday.”

Albert Gaub-Jakobsen gave the match these words: It’s great to be further in the cup. I hope we can create the success we had last year in the cup. Of course, it starts here. It’s always nice to keep the cage clean. But even nicer to see Mygind back with two goals. He has fought hard for that.
We field a young team today and I thought that they performed very well, which the result also shows. It’s a young pair of stoppers in front of me today. D e are young, but they are really good players. It is good to see some academy players in the 1. andthat they get some playing time“.

A happy Emil Mygind said after the game: “I thought it was a strong effort today all the way through. We had small moments where we might relax a little bit and let them be better , than they really are. But beyond that, I think that we mash them throughout the Fight. It was a matter of course Equally cool to be back in the startingline-up – and with goals and assists. It’s really important to me – Iam up for more“.

The next opponent in the Oddset Cup is Holbæk B&I. The match is scheduled for the period 3-5 September 2024.
