It has been a long time since AB Gladsaxe and Brønshøj Boldklub could meet on the pitch. It is Brønshøj who have revenge to come, as AB have won the last 3 encounters.
Brønshøj will play in the 3rd division in the coming season.
The two clubs meet in a training match tonight, Tuesday 23 July at 18.00 in Tingbjerg Sports Park.
For most players in the squad, it might just be a friendly match. Therefore, they must know that the battle for the bog is important to the many and loyal fans, and that everyone is looking forward to a victory.
AB will follow up on the good play and the two victories against FA 2000 and Holstein Kiel’s U23 team. Brønshøj has played its first training match, where it was a 1-0 defeat against Vanløse.
After Monday’s training, AB’s head coach Joey Gudjonsson said: “It’s an interesting game for us tonight against Brønshøj. It’s a local showdown, and it will be a good game for us in a nice stadium. We continue the good work that we have done so far here in the start-up. We had a game on Friday and again today and that’s good for us. I think it’s a good opportunity for us to play against Brønshøj, and I hope some fans will come and follow the match.
Of course, we don’t know much about the players, but it will be a good match, especially in light of the history of the two clubs’ mutual fight on the pitch and not least on the stands.”
