AB Gladsaxe will meet the top team Fremad Amager in Sundby Sports Park on Friday 9 May.
The referee of the match, Niclas Gomes, whistles the match at 19:00 and to help him share the sun and wind, he has on the lines Shpend Shala and Søren Lehmann.
In Sundby Sports Park, the game is played on artificial turf, so AB has been training on Skovdiget’s artificial turf pitch in recent days to be as well prepared as possible.
AB must expect a top-fired Fformad Amager team, who will avenge the team’s 3-1 defeat last week to Middelfart. It was aresult that sent Fremad Amager down to third place in the promotion play-offs with 45 points.
AB moved up to 5th place in the table with 34 points after the impressive 5-1 win over Skive.
In a shared 1st place on the top scorer list in the 2nd division is Christoffer Boateng from Fremad Amager and Noah Engell from AB – both have scored 12 goals.
In the regular season, the teams faced each other both times in 2024. In SepTember AB lost 3-0 in Sundby. TOn the other hand, AB won at home in Gladsaxe with 2–0 in November on goals by Marco Ramkilde and Tobias Hageltorn. It was en match, where all the AB players were Ready from the start, and hOur players gave in 100% and checkthe fight with a good Attitudee.

“First of all, I believe in a great atmospherefor the match tomorrow with alot of fans from the two teams. InNot least Fremad Amager’s fans who want to help their team to be at the top. It is certainly not something that scares us.
We have had a good week of training, where we have built on some of the good beats that were in the Skive match. We have also worked on the small things that need to be adjusted , even though we won the game 5-1. We have also been looking forward to the match tomorrow – whatformation do they play and what are their individual qualities, which of course they have, otherwise they would not be at the top either.
Our mood is high after the last game, but it should not overshadow the fact that wemust have full focus tomorrow if we are to tease Fremad Amager and I mean that, We can. We have spent the last few days on art and it has been and we’re ready,” concludes Mikkel Brund.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson expects Fremad Amager to come up with a big fight:
“We have to follow up on the good result and the good performance both individually and collectively, which we had in the match against Skive.
I morgen we are going to Fremad Amager. They have a lot of good players, but they have struggled the last few games. There have been some changes in their team and they have lost a bit of momentum. So in a way, they’re just like a wounded animal that want to fight, but can also be a bit fragile. They will come with everything they have, and we must be absolutely clear about that.
We must continue to do what we have done so far. We need to be aggressive and take control of The match both with and without the ball. We will take advantage of the space that Fremad Amager gives us. Sometimes they hold a high line and other times they go deep. We have to be able to play through them, as we did sometimes against Skive. When they play 5-3-2, we also have to go on the outside. We expect them to line up in a 5-4-1 formation, where there will be opportunities to play through the middle, but also on the wings.
On top, they have ome stronge strikere, so we Must be completely ready in defense and also to play with physicality, because they have some physically strong players. I know it will be a big event and we go to Amager to take 3 points”, concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
