Tomorrow, Friday 18 August 2023 at 19:00, AB Gladsaxe will take on HIK at Gladsaxe Stadium for the second home game of the season.
The stage is set for an exciting match. HIK has not got off to a good start in the tournament and has lost the first two games. AB has got off to a slightly better start with two draws. So these are two teams that will be chasing their first win. In last season’s regular season, AB won both games against HIK. It was 4-2 in Hellerup and 2-0 at Gladsaxe Stadium, so the statistics are at least on AB’s side.
The match is refereed by Nicki Nordlund Hansen and linejudges are Poul Nyberg and Søren Lehmann.
AB has produced a sea of chances in the first two games, but the sharpness has been lacking in front of goal and it has only been one goal. So let’s cross our fingers that the chances are converted into goals against HIK.
HIK has Daniel Thorup Børner in quarantine. AB has no in quarantine.

Head coach David Roufpanah said: “DIt’s always difficult to play against a team that has lost two games, but they’ve played well. We must be on our toes and be mentally prepared
Erredt also to get the fight over to our side. We come from two games where we get one point in each. We have a good statistic from the games, which also shows that we get a lot of good chances. We have to take advantage of our chances, then we will also get the results.”
AB’s midfield dynamo Emil Wass says about the match: “It’s a Friday game, and it’s always magical at Gladsaxe Stadium, so we’re looking forward to it. The opportunities are fine for us. It is always some eventful matches we have against HIK with lots of goals. They are well suited to us, so it will probably be a great game. There are always some special matches and there is always a lot going on. We have to score on our chances and preferably put in the first goal, then we can go on from there. If we can just put in the first goal, then I think
Me too, the goals come in a row. I’m sure we’ll take the 3 points tomorrow.”
