Then it’s FC Roskilde

AB Gladsaxe will tomorrow, Friday 8 September, travel to the Cathedral City of Roskilde, where FC Roskilde will host AB in Roskilde Sports Park at 19.00.

FC Roskilde has made a good start to the season and currently occupies 3rd place in the 2nd division. FC Roskilde won their last match 1-0 in Sundby Idrætspark against Fremad Amager. FC Roskilde has hired Mikkel Thygesen as their new head coach during the week. The match against AB on Friday night will thus be Mikkel Thygesen’s first game with the responsibility on the sidelines. So it will probably be a motivated Roskilde team that will show off to their new coach.

AB is still in the Top 6, even though it was a defeat in Saturday’s match against Esbjerg fB at Gladsaxe Stadium. AB comes to the match with 120 minutes of cup match in their legs after Tuesday’s 4-3 win over SfB-Oure FA in Svendborg. Hørður Askham plays European Championship qualifiers with the Faroese national team and cannot participate in the match.

Rasmus Brodersen says the day before the match: “We are very much looking forward to the match tomorrow. A match in the Top 6. During the week, we got a win in the cup, and that was very important for us. The young players and those who haven’t played so much got plenty of playing time, and that’s important.

We also have to show some of the good tactics we showed against Esbjerg, where we brought our intensity into the game and showed that we can play really well, also against a good team like Esbjerg. When we have intensity in our game, we can tease all teams. So we are really looking forward to it, and as always, we are working purposefully and concentrated on the task so that we can make our mark on the match.”

David Roufpanah gives these words as a prelude to the match: “Then it’s about Roskilde and the hunt for three points. It has been an intensive week with a cup match in Svendborg. We have some challenges in the squad with players who are not available. But that’s how it is in football.

Of course, we have looked at Roskilde, but they have a new coach, and I don’t think we can expect quite the same way of playing as in their previous games. With a new coach, there is always a new expression in the game, some changes in tactics and of course a lot of new energy. So it will be a tough game, but we are well prepared.”
