Saturday, June 17, 2023 AB Gladsaxe will play the last match of the 2022/2023 season. A season that started on August 6, 2022 against FC Roskilde and ends at Riisvangen in Aarhus.
The match against Aarhus Fremad is whistled by referee Nanna Løf Mørch Andersen at 2:00 p.m.
Both teams are out of the promotion race, but will of course do everything to finish well. So it will be an exciting match. It will also be exciting to see whether Frederik Ellegaard can spice up his fine season by becoming the top scorer in the 2nd division. Frederik has made 17 goal before the last match. Former AB striker Emil Holten has made 15 goal for Esbjerg fB in second place.
AB has revenge to gain, as Aarhus Fremad won the most recent match 3-0 at Gladsaxe Stadium. Head coach Simon Ervolder Andresen says: “We will play our last match on Saturday at the beautiful Riisvangen Stadium. We will meet Aarhus Fremad and we are looking forward to it. Both teams have nothing to play for, but therefore it could well be a really good and high-intensity football match.
We will do our best to put on a really good performance in the last match. The players will then have a great end to the season. The journey these players have been through this season has been fantastic and we should not forget that. It has been a difficult series and yet the team has had a great season. They have been through a lot and we should pay tribute to that by playing a good last match and having a good party afterwards.”
