The trip goes to Esbjerg

After some difficult days, the team will travel to western Denmark tomorrow, Sunday 30 April, where AB Gladsaxe will face Esbjerg fB. The referee, Andreas Bøgebjerg Kobberrød, will start the match at 3:00 PM at Blue Water Arena. Esbjerg fB has made a good start and has won their first two matches in the promotion play-offs, most recently with a victory in the top match against B93 at Østerbro Stadium.

AB most recently lost narrowly 1-0 to Kolding IF in Kolding. Esbjerg fB is in fourth place in the table, while AB is in fifth place. The last match between the two teams ended 0-0 at Gladsaxe Stadion on April 10, 2023, so it could very well be a close match again.

Both teams are affected by suspensions. Esbjerg fB has Yacine Bourhane in suspension, and AB will be without midfielder Alessio Alicino.

As previously written, an interim head coach has been appointed. It is Simon Ervolder Andresen, who has trained the team in the final training sessions leading up to the match against Esbjerg.

Head coach Simon Ervolder Andresen said before the match: “It has been a difficult few days for all of us. I would like to praise the players for the way they have handled the whole situation. The boys have welcomed me very well. We have trained very well the last two days. We have prepared for Esbjerg, and now we are going over and playing a match against a good opponent in a nice stadium. That is what it is all about now. It is about us going over there to perform and play a good match. It is also my expectation that the boys are ready for that.”

The following gross squad is available:

2 Rasmus Moller

3 Gustav Overgaard Hansen
