The trip goes to Brabrand
AB Gladsaxe will travel to the City of Smiles on Saturday, November 5, 2022 to play Aarhus club Brabrand IF. The match will be played at Brabrand IF’s Idrætsanlæg, where referee Benjamin Seferovic will blow the whistle at 14.00. Brabrand IF comes to the match with two fresh victories in their legs. Most recently, Brabrand IF won 1-0 on the difficult away ground in Thisted. Brabrand IF is just outside the top six in the table in seventh place. AB, who always struggle in Brabrand, come into the match with wins in the last 3 matches. Their last win came on Sunday, when they beat HIK 2-0 at Gladsaxe Stadium. So it’s two optimistic teams playing for points. The victory over HIK meant that AB retained its great 4th place in the table. Unfortunately, AB has Mican Atici and Christoffer Thrane in quarantine for the match. In addition, several players are out with injuries. Head coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “Brabrand is a difficult opponent for us and we’ll have to see if we can go to Aarhus and do something about it. Of course, there are no guarantees. It requires a hard effort and we expect a lot of duels. The match will be played on grass, and that doesn’t make it any less difficult. Brabrand have done really well and are just outside the top six. They are seriously pushing to move up. We expect to see that in their game and we look forward to playing against them.” The coaching team has the following squad: 1 Oliver Børner Thorup (m) 3 Gustav Overgaard Hansen 4 Anton Basbas Pedersen7 Frederik Ellegaard 8 Emil Wass 9 Emil Mygind 11 Oliver Angus 13 Mads Vang 14 James Iheme15 Hakim Sighaoui (U19) 18 Simon Holden 19 Albert Nørager 20 Marcus Hørbye 21 Alessio Alicino24 Frederik Lindgaard, U1925 Tobias Brogaard (m)26 Christian Espersen Troelsen 30 Marcus Mustac Gudmann The match can be streamed via https://2-division.dk/streaming The starting lineup can be seen on Facebook one hour before the referee blows the whistle.
