The last match of the season at Gladsaxe Stadium

AB Gladsaxe will play against a top team in the 2nd division for the third game in a row when AB takes on Kolding IF at Gladsaxe Stadium on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Kolding IF is in 1st place with 63 points in the table, closely followed by Esbjerg fB and B.93 with 62 points. AB is in 5th place with 48 points. AB and Kolding IF always play close and even games, which usually end in a draw or with a one-goal win. The most recent game against Kolding IF in Kolding back in April ended in a 1-0 win for Kolding. It will again be a game where AB will have to be able to play up to Kolding IF’s physical playing style. It is the last home game of the season, so it is a welcome opportunity for everyone

spectators and players to say thank you for the season to each other. The last match of the season will be played in Aarhus next Saturday, June 17th, against Aarhus Fremad.

The squad includes goalkeeper Indy Groothuizen for the first time, who is back after a long injury period. AB has Silas Trier Madsen in quarantine for the match. Kolding IF has Christian Vestergaard in quarantine. The match will be refereed by Jacob Stausgaard, and on the lines it will be Henrik Sønderby and Victor Skytte.

Head coach Simon Ervolder Andresen says: “Last match at Gladsaxe Stadium this season, and we are looking forward to hopefully coming out and finishing really well. Now we will face another team that is fighting for promotion. We have done that in recent matches, and we will once again try to take points from a top team and in that way help to interfere in the promotion fight. Kolding is a team that we have great respect for. They are very clear in their game. They come with lots of power and dynamism. We have to match that. We have to try to reach a level of intensity and a level of mentality that matches Kolding. They have everything to play for, but we have shown in recent matches that we can withstand it and hurt our opponents.”

Audience draw: Admission is available for Gladsaxe residents for 5 kr., however, everyone must buy a ticket at boldbillet.dk and bring their health card.
