Daylight saving time also means training matches. AB Gladsaxe will play tomorrow, Saturday 15 July, the first training match leading up to the start of the tournament, which this year is on Saturday 5 August 2023.
Big task awaits tomorrow
The training match is an obvious opportunity to see AB’s many new players and the new coaching staff in action. The training match will be played at Skovdiget at 12:00 against the NordicBet League team Hillerød Football. It is Hillerød Football’s last training match before their tournament start in the coming week against HB Køge. Hillerød Football has played five training matches in their start-up, and most recently they played 0-0 against Lyngby Boldklub, so a big task awaits AB.
New acquaintances and hard physical work
AB has been training for the last two weeks and it has been a tough start. They have trained physically, tactically and not least in achieving the so important playing relationships on the field. Social relationships must also be built up so that the many new players also get to know each other well.
Head coach David Roufpanah said after Friday’s training session: “We have to use the game tomorrow to find our relationships with each other. We have to try to play with our intensity. We have had two training weeks here in the beginning with a focus on the physical training and intensity, so the players are probably a little tired. It’s our first game together, so we have to make the best of the situation and start finding our relationships. Of course, we have also trained on our style of play, but we are just at the beginning and have three training matches before the season premiere. We want to use the time well and start simple.”
