Talents sign professional contracts

Akademisk Boldklub A/S is pleased to announce that two of the academy’s talents, Noah Ibsen and Frederik Lindgaard, have signed their first professional contracts.

The 18-year-old central defender, Noah Ibsen, has signed a two-year contract that runs until June 2026. Ibsen, who has been a long-standing member of AB’s youth academy, made his debut in the senior team on 17 May 2024 against Nykøbing FC.

“Noah has some great qualities both in terms of his mentality and his physical gifts,” says sports director Jen Chang. “He has good technical quality and potential, and we are excited to see him develop with the senior team.”

“Ibsen is a talented player with great development potential. I look forward to seeing his continued impressive development and contribution to the team. Ibsen is a good example of the good talent development in our academy,” says head coach Gudjonsson.

Ibsen, who started in AB’s youth academy in 2019, is looking forward to continuing his development and contributing to the team.

“I am incredibly proud and grateful to sign with my heart club, which has meant everything to me for the past five years,” says Noah Ibsen himself.

In addition, the 19-year-old full-back and winger, Frederik Lindgaard, has also signed his first professional contract with the club. Lindgaard has been a dedicated member of AB’s youth academy and has an impressive 17 goals in 53 appearances for AB U19. He made his senior team debut on 5 September 2023 in the Oddset Cup, where he played as a right back against SfB Oure FA. He also played an important role in the victory over Vejle, which secured the club a place in the cup quarter-finals for the first time in 22 years.

“Frederik is a player with strong character, outstanding work effort and versatility,” says Jen Chang. “He brings a positive energy to the dressing room and has the potential to play a key role either as a winger or full-back.”

“Lindgaard is a good player who has proven himself both as a full-back and a winger. His ability to adapt to different roles will be an important versatility for us. I am confident that he will continue to impress and will play a role for our team in the future,” says head coach Gudjonsson.

Lindgaard, who joined AB Ungdom in 2018, is looking forward to continuing his career at senior level and contributing to the team’s future success.

“I am incredibly happy and honored to sign my first contract with a club like AB,” says Lindgaard.
