AB Gladsaxe will play tomorrow, Friday 17 January 2025 at 11 am, the second test match before the start of the season. Opponent is HB Køge, who spend the winter in 11th place in the NordicBet league. The match will be played at Capello Sport Stadion, Køge Idrætspark, Ved Stadion 4 in Køge.
Last week, HB Køge played its first friendly match against FC Nordsjælland, who fielded a team consisting of U19 players and won 1-0. HB Køge also played with a young team.
AB won the first of seven test matches against another NordicBet league club, namely Hvidovre IF, with a well-deserved 3-0 victory for AB.
When asked what focus the test match should have, head coach Joey Gudjonsson answers after training:
“We have to continue to improve on the good beats from the last games. It’s the general game, how we defend, how we pressure the opponent and how we build up the game, just to name a few things we want to focus on. It’s still early in the season and we played on Monday, so we want to save the players a bit and that means that most probably won’t get more than 45 minutes of playing time.” Gudjonsson and continues:
“At the same time as the players are getting more and more fit, we want continuity in the execution of the things we train every day. It is good to test our game against a team from a row above. I think HB Køge will play 3-4-3 or 5-4-1. They most likely play with three behind and that is good for us, because several of the teams in the 2nd division play in the same way. We’ll see how they play tomorrow, but we’re ready.”
The training on Thursday was versatile and with great intensity. After the training, which ended with a quick combination play for two goals in the short term, the coaching staff selected the squad for the match against HB Køge:
