AB A/S has extended the contract of defender Pachanga Kristensen. The new contract runs until December 31, 2025.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson is happy that the club has added a year to the contract with Pachanga.
“It has been a big priority for me that we could get an extension with Pachanga. It has been clear from day one, when I arrived, that we are dealing with a player with potential and a great desire to improve every day. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with him,” says Gudjonsson.
17-year-old Pachanga Kristensen was officially promoted to the first-team squad from AB’s academy in August 2023, and he has played 13 games in the 2023/2024 season. He had his senior debut in the 2. Division on 8 September 2023 against FC Roskilde.
“We are very happy that Pachanga has chosen to extend his contract,” says sports director Jen Chang and continues:
“We always try to keep all our top players from the academy. It is important that we continue to lay the foundation for our young academy players to reach the first team and continue their development.”
Pachanga is one of four players from AB’s U19 academy or who have recently completed their time at the academy, which is currently a deal of the first-team squad for the 2024/2025 season. He is together with Noah Ibsen, Frederik Lindgaard and Daniel Jacobsen.
“I am incredibly happy to have extended with AB. It’s the club where I feel at home, and I really feel that this is where my development is best taken care of,” says Pachanga Kristensen.
The next task for AB awaits Lolland, when Nykøbing FC lays the grass for the first away game of the season. It will be played on Friday 9 August at 19.00 at Lolland Bank Arena.
