One point home from Ishøj

AB Gladsaxe played the last match in the first round of the regular season today and have met all teams once, the match took place in Ishøj Idræts & Fritidscenter and ended 1-1.

AB took the lead in the first half on a penaltykick, which Marco Ramkilde safely scored.

Unfortunately, AB committed a free kick just outside the penalty area in the middle of the goal. Ishøj IF s Tobias Heidemann shot around AB’s wall and directly into the goal.

It was a bunch of disappointed AB players who left the field, and AB should probably have had all three points in terms of play and chances, soeven though the game was very even at times.

AB started with Albert Gaub-Jacobsen on goal. In front of him was a four-man defense with Pachanga Kristensen and Adrien Koudelka in the middle and on the left side of the defense was Rasmus Brodersen and on the right side of defence was Mikkel Nielsen.

The central midfield consisted of Darren Sidoel and Ægir Jarl Jónasson, AGúst Hlynsson was on the left and O’VonteMullings was on the right wing. PAt the top was Christian Wagner with Marco Ramkilde by his side. It was the first starting spot this season for Darren Sidoel and Mikkel Nielsen.

Christian Wagner and Marco Ramkilde started in relation to the last game, while Daniel A. Pedersen, Onesime Tembe, Steven Simpson took their place on the bench.

During the second half, Frederik Lindgaard, Flamur Dzelili, Onesime Tempe, Steven Simpson and Mikkel Brund on the field. Out went Mikkel Nielsen, Marco Ramkilde, Christian Wagner, O’Vonte Mullings and Frederik Lindgaard, who had to leave the field with an injury.

AB generally played a good game, where the game was well cohesive and the combinations flowed along the ground. The defence stood solid, and Albert Gaub-Jacobsen had many good interventions in the peloton. In the beginning of the match, much of the play took place in the middle of the field with many tackles And hence a lot of free kicks. AB created several opportunities to score, while Ishøj IF was most dangerous on corner kicks and also had some breakthroughs in AB’s right defensive side.

As the half progressed,AB looked more and more at the game and also created a really good chance, where O’Vonte Mullings was fouled in the box in the 31st minute. Marco Ramkilde score they on the subsequent penalty kick to lead 1-0. Until the half-time whistle hasbeen AB more chances to get further ahead. Both O’Vonte Mullings, Christian Wagner and Marco Ramkilde had chances, but the goals didn’t come. It was very positive to see Marco Ramkilde on the pitch again after an injury break. He fit in well with the other strikers.

From the start of the 2nd half, they pushed AB the game towards Ishøj’s goal. However, it was Ishøj, there got on the scoreboard. A stupid free kick Just outside the penalty area in the middle of the goal led to the equalizer 1-1. The shot went around the wall and into the goal down in the corner out of Albert Gaub-Jacobsen’s reach.

AB pressed for the rest of the half in search of a winning goal. Among other things, Agúst Hlynsson incredibly active and had several good attempts.

Ishøj’s best attempt at a goal was a free kick on the right side, which was deflected by AB’s defense and went to the corner.

A disappointed captain Adrien Koudelka put these words to the match.

“We definitely had chances to win the game. Very unfortunate for us with their free-kick goal – but lucky for them, because it gave them the equaliser. I don’t know if the ball went through the defensive wall or just around it, but in any case, it must not happen. We had chances so we could have closed the game, but it didn’t happen,” Adrien concludes Koudelka.

AB’s head coach Joey Gudjonsson was pleased with the game, but dissatisfied with Ishøj scoring.

I think there was good progress in the game, but itwas particularly disappointing how we gave them the chance to score. They didn’t create any chances throughout the game, and we then gave them A free kick almost in the middle of the goal. We stood still , when they attacked, even though we knew how they would search in front of goal. On the free kick, it should not be possible for the ball togo inside the wall from that position.
But we had many chances to score 2-3 goals already in the 1st half and thus we could have closedthe game.

We dominated the game in all positions, we stood solid in defense and built up from there, and we were in control of the game.
As the game developed, it’s very disappointing and frustrating not to be able to walk away with the three points,” Joey Gudjonsson concluded.

The next match will be played on Friday 18 October at 19:00 against HIK at Gladsaxe Stadion.
