On Saturday, AB Gladsaxe will travel to Aarhus, where the top team Aarhus Fremad will welcome them to Risvangen Stadium. Referee Rasmus Nielsen whistles the whistle for the match at 14:00.
AB has yet to win away from home this season, but why not start on one of the most difficult away pitches of the season? The team will certainly do everything to take home points from Jutland.
Aarhus Fremad occupies 2nd place in the 2nd division, only one point behind the leaders Esbjerg fB. AB is in 6th place and would very much like to get points in the match to maintain a position in the Top-6.
The two teams last faced each other in last season’s last game in June. Here, Aarhus Fremad won 5-2 in a game that clearly showed that it was the last game of the season and that neither team had much to play for.
In the last round of matches, Aarhus Fremad had to settle for 3-3 against HIK at Gentofte Stadium, while AB took an excellent victory with the digits 2-1 against Thisted FC at Gladsaxe Stadium.
David Roufpanah says after today’s training: “It will be good to compete against a top team. It is valuable for us to see how we compare to a top team. We will try to start the match against Aarhus Fremad, as we finished the match against Thisted.
We have done a lot of good things in the last few games. We took the energy from the cup match against FA 2000 to the match against Thisted and we will now take that energy with us to the match in Aarhus.
It is clearly different to play against a top team away from home. So it will be a big challenge, but we have to take care of it and we are really well prepared. Aarhus Fremad is a good team and I think they play a good game of football and are very aggressive. I think they are the team in the league that has the highest pressure defensively, so we know that and we are prepared for that. Then we will see how we stand!!
Rasmus Brodersen is looking forward to the match: “We are very much looking forward to the match. We have to build on the good beats last weekend, where we set up some good play both in our handling of the ball and also without the ball. We have to go there and chase 3 points – that’s what we go there for and what we have to take home. We know it’s an opponent from the top of the league. They play really good football, but we think we can invite them to dance.”
