Now it gets exciting

The wait is over and the tournament season starts again. The first match is on Saturday 3 August at home at Gladsaxe Stadium at 14:00, where the opponent is Næstved.

After a good start to training with won friendly matches against FA 2000 and Holstein Kiel’s U23, an internal training match was also played. Now it’s important points in the hunt for a good position.

The first match is always special, and it will be exciting to see how the team stands and how the new players fit into the game.

Næstved is relegated from the 1st division, so we must expect a determined opponent who will show their quality. There have been changes in several positions and René Skovdahl has joined as head coach at the start of the season.

In AB Gladsaxe, Marcus Bobjerg (goalkeeper), Yael Liesdek, Marco Ramkilde, Ægir Jarl Jónasson, Malte Melin and Mikkel Nielsen have joined.

There has been hard and intense training over the past few weeks, so the team is completely sharp and ready for the new season.

Now the matches await in the regular season, which ends on April 12, 2025 – followed by a hopefully promotion game that ends on June 14, 2025.

Today’s training was held at Gladsaxe Stadium, and Rasmus Brodersen gives the match these words along the way: “First of all, we are looking forward to getting started and then at home. We have missed that. We have to build on our final games in the spring and the way we finished the season. We have to take the good from our training matches. We have had a really good start. There has been a lot of work in the squad and the unity is fantastic. We have worked on details that will make us play a really good season.

Tomorrow we will face Næstved, who will be a difficult size after their relegation from the 1st division. But as I said, the start has been good, we are fit for fight, we have kept a clean sheet in the training matches, created lots of chances, there are few injured players – so everything is good!”.

Head coach Joey Gudjonsson says the following about the match: “As a club and team, we are looking forward to the game tomorrow against Næstved. Playing at home in front of our fans, we are looking forward to and I feel that the players are ready. The team spirit is top-notch, the players have worked well individually and also as a team and they have worked really hard here before the start of the season. Step by step, we have worked with the different phases of the game and are now in a strong position. We have a squad that can create chances and score goals and then we have strengthened the defense. We are in good shape and completely ready for the game tomorrow.

Næstved plays physically and has a good team, where some of the players have played together for a long time. We have nothing to fear, because our players have good physique, quality and we have a good organization, so we should not look so much at the opponent, but focus on playing our own game.”
