No training match on Saturday 21/1-2023
AB Tårnby cancels the planned training match tomorrow Saturday, January 21, 2023. AB Tårnby has canceled at the last minute with the reason that they cannot field a team. For the past 24 hours, they have been working hard to find a replacement opponent, but have not succeeded. Instead of the training match, a training session will be held. Assistant coach Stefan Payberg Larsen says: “It was supposed to be our 2nd training match tomorrow. We played a really good training match against Hvidovre last Saturday. We played at a high tempo and were really good in our defensive structure. We stood well in the chains and generally played a good game. We were determined to build on that momentum in Saturday’s training match. Everything is prepared during the week. We expected to get more time on the ball and to find some different solutions than the ones we had to use against Hvidovre. We wanted to take responsibility and try to set the tempo. It would be a completely different challenge. We’ve been looking forward to getting out and using the whole squad, and everyone had to get on the pitch and get minutes – now it’s hard training instead.” Stefan Payberg Larsen is acting head coach for Patrick Braune, who is on a study trip to Madrid as part of his UEFA Pro training, including a stay in Atletico Madrid. The next training match is January 28, 2023 against Nykøbing FC at 13.00 at Skovdiget.
