Today the preparations for the new season start and it will be with new faces and an almost completely new coaching staff at Skovdiget. Together with head coach David Roufpanah, the new staff will work hard with the team to get ready for the first match against Nykøbing FC on Saturday, August 5th.
The new coaching staff includes:
Head Coach – David Roufpanah
Head coach David Roufpanah comes to AB with extensive coaching experience from Allsvenskan, Superettan, the Swedish 2nd division and Damallsvenskan. Within the last 20 years, he has been head coach of FC RosengÃ¥rd’s men’s team, assistant coach for several clubs in Superettan, head of scouting at IK Sirius and academy coach for Malmö FF and Hammarby IF. David’s teams are known for playing at a higher pace and with more dominance in all phases of the game. He also brings with him a data-driven and analytical approach to the game, which will be an important part of the staff’s new workflow. Roufpanah holds a UEFA Pro license.
Assistant Coach and Analyst – Senthu Ariyanayagam
Our new assistant coach, Senthu Ariyanayagam, is a young coach with a lot of experience from Danish football. Senthu has previously been a youth coach from U-13 to U-19 level in, among others, SønderjyskE, Lyseng IF and Kolding IF, where he has also been an interim coach in the NordicBet Ligaen. In addition, he also has coaching experience from the 2nd division and 3rd division. Senthu will work closely with David, where he will be responsible for analyzing and delivering video content and data in collaboration with the team’s new analyst Joshua.
As the team’s new assistant coach, he will also play an important role, together with David, in ensuring that all players are included and understand the overall work process. He will also be co-responsible for increasing the understanding of the tactical plan and thus also be a key person in optimizing the transfer of analytical content to the head coach.
Goalkeeper coach – Brian Møllepovl
Brian is a skilled goalkeeping coach who has been part of the first team since January. He brings a lot of experience to the staff – both as a player and a coach. Brian will be primarily responsible for the goalkeepers and will ensure that they can support the team’s future playing style. Brian is expected to be a key person on the staff as the team changes its playing style in the coming season, which will place higher demands on the goalkeepers.
Strength and conditioning coach – Patryk Przybylski
With the appointment of Patryk, the first team will have a full-time S&C coach. Patryk brings relevant experience from both English and Danish football, most recently in FA 2000. Patryk will focus on everything from monitoring training load and using data to training volume and injury prevention. He is also expected to work on optimizing the players’ physique to suit the team’s playing style. Patryk has a lot of knowledge about how to support players in developing a strong, fast and healthy body. He will also help manage set-piece situations to support the team’s performance.
Analyst – Joshua Mwamba
Joshua is an academy coach at AB, and will be an integral part of the professional staff in the upcoming season. Joshua comes with youth team experience from AB, Brøndby IF and Sundby Boldklub. He has an incredibly good understanding of football, a lot of good ideas and great potential when it comes to the different phases of the game. Joshua will work as the team’s analyst, and his focus will primarily be on producing analytical content for the coaches.
Physiotherapists – Andreas Søndergaard & Rasmus Ibsen
Our physiotherapists are both well-known to the team, but it is expected that Andreas and Rasmus will be more integrated into the daily work in and around the team. Together with our strength and conditioning, they are responsible for supporting the players off the field. Under the leadership of Andreas, we feel very confident that we have both high competence and good presence from our physical team.
Director of Operations – Casper Reinhardt
Casper will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team. Through his work, he will help ensure that our players, coaches and staff have everything they need to perform at the highest level. This includes optimizing equipment, conditions and communication on the sports side of the club.
Team leader – Kim Villy Nielsen
Kim Villy, who has previously been associated with the club as a team manager, brings a lot of experience and knowledge to our team. He will be responsible for managing the club’s equipment and facilities. Kim Villy’s expertise and organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining the team’s high standards.
Everyone at AB welcomes our new coaching staff.
