Gladsaxe Municipality and Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe will host the Danish Women’s National Team on July 5th, taking on Spain in a thrilling match at Gladsaxe Stadium, which is the last test before the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand this summer.
Spain is the opponent in Denmark’s final World Cup test on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, where the Women’s National Team will need to hone their form so they can travel with plenty of confidence to the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in July and August 2023.
Gladsaxe Municipality and Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe are hosting a great event at Gladsaxe Stadium, where the players will of course have all the support and encouragement we can give them. So grab your family, neighbor or good colleague and have a fantastic football evening right here in Gladsaxe.
– We are very grateful for the support we get from the Danish fans. What we do on the pitch, we couldn’t do without the fans. We know that it will be difficult to rely on the stands in Australia, and that’s why we will pay tribute to the fans on July 5. Hopefully, many will come to Gladsaxe Stadium so that we can say thank you for the support and give the fans a great experience before we leave for the World Cup, says Pernille Harder.
Come and feel the atmosphere before leaving for the World Cup
Denmark has experienced great support with packed fan sections for both the European Championship in England this summer and most recently the April match in Malmö. Unfortunately, Australia is a long way away, and therefore not all Danish fans have the opportunity to support the Women’s National Team for the World Cup finals Down Under. The red-and-white fans therefore really deserve to feel how important they are to the Women’s National Team. And they will do so in the run-up to and during the match against Spain on July 5th:
– The women’s national team will have open training sessions where fans can get autographs and selfies with the players – and the same applies to
the match. For the match we will also have a fan zone at the stadium, and then there will be surprises inside the stadium, where the team will show the fans how much they mean to them. We hope to see as many fans as possible at the stadium for a red-white fanfest, says Martin Ramtung, fan coordinator at DBU.
