Mikkel Brund extends the agreement

AB has extended the contract of centre-back Mikkel Brund by 2.5 years until December 2026.

“Mikkel has been a fantastic addition to the team, both in terms of his ball-playing skills as a defender and how quickly he has settled in in the dressing room. He is a person of strong character and we are happy that he has committed to the club,” says sporting director Jen Chang.

The 21-year-old defender from Hadsten was originally signed in January 2024 from Hobro IK II. He is a product of Randers’ youth academy, where he was Randers’ U19 captain with 60 games from the start in the period 2020-23. He made his Superliga debut for Randers on 7 March 2021 against Lyngby.

“I am very happy to have my agreement extended. Even though I’ve only been here for a few months, it’s easy to see that the level of ambition at the club is high, and that has had a big impact on my decision. I have also been very well received by everyone, and it has therefore been easy to get into the squad. The unity in this group is really good, and we all get along well with each other.”

“I think the fans have been fantastic, and I look forward to sharing many good experiences with them in the future,” Brund concludes.
