AB’s 23-year-old defender, Marcus Gudmann, is moving to HB Køge in the NordicBet league with immediate effect.
Gudmann joined AB Gladsaxe from Esbjerg fB last summer after a hectic time at the Jutland club. With a fresh air and new energy, Gudmann quickly came in and left his mark on the team.
After playing a brilliant 2022/23 season, where he distinguished himself with good defense, impressive passing and great goals, he was also deservedly named Player of the Year 2022-2023 by AB Forever.
CEO, Erik Stover, says: “Marcus has attracted attention from many teams in the NordicBet league after a really good season. Part of our philosophy is to help develop players for the higher divisions. So while we are sad to lose an important player, we are also happy that Marcus can take this next step in his career and realize his own ambitions.”
Marcus himself says: “I have chosen to take a step up and be challenged even more after a very special and great season. I am very much looking forward to starting in HB Køge, but I will always remember my teammates and my time in AB. I send a big thank you to all the fans for having welcomed me so well in such a short time. Thanks to everyone in and around the team, both on and off the field, for a really good season.”
Marcus Gudmann managed to play 31 matches and score 8 goals in the AB shirt.
Everyone at AB wishes Marcus Gudmann good luck with his career.
