Last training match before the tournament
AB Gladsaxe will meet neighboring club HIK at Gentofte Sportspark, Ved Stadion 10 on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11:30 am. It is the last training match before the tournament starts on Sunday, March 12 against Aarhus Fremad. It’s a training match where the players have a chance to work on the final details and show that they need to be in the starting 11 when the tournament starts again. HIK and AB have met twice this season in the 2nd division – both times with victory for AB. HIK have played 1-1 against Landskrona BoIS in Sweden in the opening phase. AB comes to the match with a 4-3 victory over Brønshøj in the baggage. Head coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “We will face HIK on Saturday. It will be the last test before the match against Aarhus Fremad and before we have to play for points again. We need to go out and deliver a good last training match. We’ve had a good top level so far and have been stable. We need to hit something solid. We still need to have something in the toolbox that will be saved for the Aarhus Fremad match. We’re getting closer and closer and the players look sharp, so we want to see some joy too. We’re looking forward to having a spring preseason game soon”.
