Last training match before the start of the season

AB Gladsaxe will play tomorrow, Saturday, the third and final training match before the start of the season on Saturday 5 August. AB welcomes FA 2000 at 12.00 at Skovdiget. It is FA 2000’s fourth training match leading up to the start of the season, and they won last Tuesday with 2-1 against BK Frem. After just one season in the 3rd division, FA 2000 is back in the 2nd division after the promotion in June and one of AB’s upcoming opponents in the season. So it is an extremely competent opponent AB will face, and it is usually very close and exciting matches that the two teams play.

It is an opponent that AB can really measure up against. AB will follow up on the victories in the first two training matches against Hillerød Football and Concordia from Hamburg. AB must still focus on playing the team together and expanding the relationships between the players.

We must be able to play at a higher pace

Head coach David Roufpanah said after Friday’s training: “We have to continue to work on the things we are working on on the training ground. We must be able to play at a higher pace and not fall into the opponent’s pace. We have to work on the basis that we have to be able to play with a higher pulse for a larger part of the match. If we can do that, I think we can create more chances and therefore more goals. And then we have to find our relationships and interaction. We’ve been playing together for a month, and we have some players who have arrived a week ago. So there is a lot to work with, but still it will be great to get started with the tournament next week. Tomorrow it is FA 2000 in the last friendly match. It will be a tough game, and it will be tough battles all the way through. We respect all our opponents and we have to be at 100% every time. The day we are not at 100%, it will hurt. So we have to keep a high focus.”
