Jen Chang is voluntarily stepping down as chairman of the board of AB A/S to give her full attention to the role of the club’s sporting director towards the 2024/25 season. Chang has been chairman since November 2022.
“It has been a great pleasure and privilege to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of AB A/S,” says Chang. “It has always been planned from the start that I would step down as chairman after an initial transition period.”
He adds: “We see the position as Chairman of the Board of AB A/S as a role that will focus on managing the club’s overall and strategic management as well as ensuring legal and regulatory compliance on the Board of Directors as opposed to running the club on a daily basis. The day-to-day operational responsibility remains with our CEO, Sofie Brandi Petersen. This change will allow me to concentrate solely on the role of sporting director.”
In addition to serving as the club’s sports director, Chang will continue to be a non-executive board member of AB A/S.
AB/AS can also announce that Brian Grieco will join AB A/S’s Board of Directors. Grieco is a lawyer with extensive experience in corporate governance, commercial transactions and working with companies to generate revenue and manage costs.
AB/AS will convene an extraordinary general meeting later this month to confirm the election of the new chairman.
