AB Gladsaxe will go on the longest away trip of the season, when Thisted FC welcomes tomorrow Saturday at Sparekassen Thy Arena – Lerpytter.
The referee of the match whistles this difficult away game at 15:00.
It is an incredibly important game for AB in the effort not to get too far away from the top-6 in the table. So it should very much be points in North Jutland and very much like 3 points, then the statistics with zero away wins will also be broken.
Thisted FC are probably also hungry for a win, so they can keep a leash in the top-6. Thisted FC lost last week’s home game 1-0 to HIK. So AB must expect a fired up and motivated Thisted FC team, it is absolutely not going to lose two home games in a row. The two teams are side by side in the table. AB in 7th place with 15 points and Thisted FC in 8th place with 14 points.
AB drew last week’s match in Aarhus against Brabrand. For many, a disappointing result. Neither of the two teams has players in quarantine. Thisted FC has announced that their big profile Mikkel Agger, unfortunately is out with an injury for a long period of time. AB won the first leg against Thisted FC at the end of September with 2-1 at Gladsaxe Stadium. In an intense and even match, AB’s two goals were scored by Darren Sidoel and Adrien Koudelka. Thisted FC’s goal was scored by Daniel Johansen on something of a cannon shot.
Thisted FC has previously played with the physicality at Gladsaxe Stadium, but in that match, the spectators at Gladsaxe Stadium saw a much more playing and possessing team.
Rasmus Brodersen has these words about the upcoming match: “First and foremost, we need 3 points. We have to correct after last weekend, where we didn’t get off to a good start. Afterwards, we actually play a nice game. We play some nice patterns of play and get the game over to our side. Tomorrow we will be the ones who will dictate the match. It’s a very important game and we need the 3 points away from home. It is a physical and compact team we will face. It requires us to play with pace and move the ball quickly.”
Head coach David Roufpanah is looking forward to the match: “We expect a physical game. It’s cold, the pitch is soft and it’s probably going to be windy too. It will be a physical game and not with so much play along the grass. We have to accept that and play accordingly. What I think will be crucial is who can win the duels and the second balls. When we last met Thisted, they also tried, like us, to play the combination game along the ground, but it will probably not be possible tomorrow for both teams. We’ll have to see what Thisted comes up with. It’s a good team with some good players, so we have to be focused – we also have some good players and we won’t hold back.”
