AB played 1-1 against Ishøj IF in Ishøj on Saturday. It was agame where AB sat on the game for most of the game, where camebThe innations and the quick passes along the grass led to several great scoring chances. There were also a bunch of disappointed AB players If the good play is taken to the matchagainst HIK, then there are definitely opportunities for a victory.
It was not long ago that that HIK and AB have met each other. On September 27, the two teams drew 2-2 where HIK equalized at the end of the game. AB was ahead twice e on goal by O’Vonte Mullings and Daniel A. Pedersen. AB delivered a good performance , but should have preventedboth of HI K’s goals.
HIK is in 8th place in the table with 14 points. AB is on their heels in 9th place with 13 points.
HIK last lost 2-1 at home against BK Frem.
AB has Marcus Bobjerg in quarantine for the match.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson attaches great importance to the last game against Ishøj:
”Overall, we had a really good game against Ishøj. We had a lot of opportunities where we could have scored more goals. We limited their chances of coming up with chances , and they only had three shots. We were very disappointed with their goal on free kicks and with only getting a draw. But overall, it was a good performance. We were calm with the ball and we managed to Make the fight go our way.
We also had a good performance against HIK, but were probably a bit naïve in terms of defending our goal. We have worked on that and it went really well to defend our goal against Ishøj. We will take that with us to the match on Saturday against HIK.
We have Marco back on the pitch and that gives some opportunities in the attack. He’s a good striker and a good leader, so that gives us belief that we can perform well.” , concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
Goalkeeper Albert Gaub-Jacobsen says that last week’s disappointment must be replaced by great focus and power.
“HIK is a good opponent, they are poorin the offensive and really want the ball. We are extra ready for the game after last week’s disappointment away against Ishøj. We really felt that We deserved all three points. They Didn’t have many chances, so it’s really a shame that they score a goal.
I think We have become much better in our agreements. We know , how we defend and how we want to push, so we just have to show it. The training before the match has been very focused on how we want to play the match. We have to show that we are at home and that we want to dominate the game . So We will come with great power, so they will have a hard time handling it.
We have been in all games and also been ahead in several also in the last game against HIK, where they equalized in the end. So we must keep focus in everyone 90 minutes and keep the high standardwe set for ourselves even every day,” concludes Albert Gaub-Jacobsen.
