Tomorrow, Saturday April 22, 2023, AB Gladsaxe will travel to Jutland to play match two in the promotion playoffs when Kolding IF takes on Autocentralen Park – Kolding Stadion. Referee Emil Martinussen will blow the whistle at 14:00. It will be the third match of the season where the two teams will meet. The previous two matches in the playoffs have been very close. In September, AB lost 1-0 in Kolding. A match that will mostly be remembered for not very good play with the ball.
The match was played under difficult weather conditions, which also resulted in the match being interrupted for about 20 minutes due to thunder. Three weeks ago on April 3, the two teams played 3-3 at Gladsaxe Stadium. AB made a fantastic comeback after being 3-1 down at halftime. AB’s goal scorers were Emil Wass and Christoffer Thrane with two goals.
After an impressive run without defeat for an extended period in the playoffs, Kodning IF lost their first match in the promotion playoffs 1-0 to Esbjerg fB. AB didn’t get off to a good start in the promotion playoffs either with a 3-0 defeat at Gladsaxe Stadion against Aarhus Fremad. Head coach
Patrick Birch Braune says: “We’re going to Kolding. We know that it will be a close game against Kolding. We made a comeback against them last time and got a breakthrough. They conceded more goals against us than they have in the other games. Kolding is a fun team to play against. It’s a stylistically difficult team to play against, they are very physically strong. They are very clear that they have no great ambitions to take risks with the ball. We think we’ve read them well and we also think we’ve found some tools that can hurt them. We can’t wait to go out and show them that. We want to come out firing and really put in a top performance.”
Sylvester Seeger-Hansen is back in the squad after an extensive injury. Sylle suffered the injury in a training match against Fremad Amager on January 22, 2022.
The coaching team can choose the starting lineup from this gross squad:
