Last night, head coach David Roufpanah had his first chance to meet AB supporters at Gladsaxe Stadium. With almost 100 fans in attendance, Roufpanah introduced his coaching staff and the 26 players in the squad.
“I enjoyed meeting everyone,” Roufpanah says. “I presented my football philosophy in the same way as I did to the players on the first day. I think the fans appreciated that. It gave them a look into the dressing room and an understanding of how hard we work.”
In addition, Roufpanah gave a short video presentation on tactical development, showing how a series of training exercises lead to execution in the matches.
The clear theme of the evening was the intensity with which the club trains. The players all understand that and work very hard to be able to deliver the effort our supporters deserve on match day.”

The highlight of the evening was the introduction of fan favorite Emil Mygind Jensen, who is on his way back from a season-ending knee injury last year. Coach Roufpanah announced that Emil has recently signed a contract extension that runs through the 2025/2026 season. The response was a loud round of applause from both players and teammates. Emil was touched by the moment and gave a nice speech to show his appreciation, where he encouraged fans to support the new boys as they also support him.
AB Gladsaxe opens the season this Saturday with a trip to Nykøbing and then returns to Gladsaxe Stadium for the home opener on Saturday 12 August at 15:00.
