Gustav Overgaard Hansen leaves AB Gladsaxe

AB Gladsaxe and defender Gustav Overgaard Hansen have chosen to terminate the collaboration as of today after a joint decision with the player.

Overgaard Hansen joined AB in the summer of 2022 after a successful time as U19 captain in Viborg FF.

“I have been happy to start my senior career in AB, and even though I have only been here for a year, I am proud to have been part of a historic and traditional club like AB. I am grateful to all the people who have been part of my time at the club. Especially my teammates and coaches should have a big thank you for a great and educational year. And of course, a huge thank you to all the fans who have supported us through it all, regardless of the results on the pitch,” says Overgaard Hansen about his time at the club.

The 20-year-old ball-secure central defender managed to play 27 games for the club, where he showed himself well as a regular part of the AB team especially in the autumn.

“During his time at AB, Gustav has shown great professionalism and an exceptional work ethic, but with the arrival of a few new central defenders this summer, including the promotion of Christian Troelsen from the academy, the prospect of regular playing time was more limited in the coming season. We have therefore given him permission to leave the club to pursue other opportunities and wish him all the best,” says Erik Stover.

Everyone at AB wishes Gustav good luck!
