Goodbye to six players

AB can today announce that Christian Espensen Troelsen, Marcelo Randolf, Emiliano Arrieta, Lucas Ørneborg, Oliver Drost and Killian van Mil will leave the club at the end of the year.

For Killian van Mil, who joined the club in the summer, the decision to return home to the Netherlands comes for personal and family reasons.

“Dear AB fans, it’s hard to say goodbye, but I feel it’s the best thing for everyone involved, including my family and the club. I wish you all the best for the rest of this season and who knows, maybe we’ll see you in the future,” van Mil said.

On the decision, head coach Roufpanah said: “Killian has been great to work with. He’s a great guy in the locker room and has embraced everyone regardless of their age or background. He has a high ceiling and is incredibly chance-taking. But there are other things besides football in life, and we respect his decision. We will definitely miss him and his willingness to make his teammates better.”

For Espensen Troelsen, the prospect of more playing time has been a decisive factor in the decision to seek new pastures.

“I have been incredibly happy and proud to play in the AB shirt for many years, but I have had to take the next step to be able to continue my development. I need to be in a place where I can get minutes at senior level every weekend. I wish the club all the best in the future,” says Espensen Troelsen.

AB wishes Christian Espensen Troelsen, Marcelo Randolf, Emiliano Arrieta, Lucas Ørneborg, Oliver Drost and Killian van Mil all the best in their future football careers.

The club is grateful for their time in AB and looks forward to following them in the coming chapters of their careers.
