This week, AB A/S arranged a very special football school during the children’s winter holidays. The workshop was held for children between the ages of 11-14 in the Knud Lundberg Lounge at Gladsaxe Stadium, where they also had the opportunity to meet some of our players, including Tim Freriks, Ahmad Hassan and Daniel A. Pedersen.
The children started the day with a physical training with our health and performance coach, Fabiana Alcalá. Here, they gained an understanding of what it takes physically to be a professional football player.
Throughout the workshop, the children participated in several exercises covering topics such as nutrition, health, and insight into life as a professional in the world of football. Our experienced team of coaches and players guided the children through these exercises, sharing their knowledge and experiences to inspire and motivate them to follow their passion for football, live a healthy lifestyle, as well as consider how football can help solve the problem of misinformation, with the aim of helping students improve their critical thinking skills and learn how to make decisions for themselves.
For our players and coaches, it was great to see the children’s enthusiasm and commitment during the day. We therefore hope to be able to arrange more of these kinds of workshops in the near future, as it not only helps to strengthen the team’s connection to the young people in the local area, but also helps to promote a healthy and active life for our young fans.
Finally, the group received a professional presentation from the club’s Director of Club Operations, Casper Reinhardt, who talked about all the work around the team followed by a tour of Gladsaxe Stadium.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the workshop!
