After a well-deserved holiday, the team is back at Skovdiget. Here, the first week offered, among other things, a variety of physical training sessions, where the boys also had the opportunity to get better acquainted with the club’s new health and performance coach, Fabiana Alcalà .
After the first week of intensive training, assistant coach Senthu Ariyanayagam says: “It has been a good first week. The team has come back well and has given it a go right from the start. The focus has not been so much on tactics and how we want to play, but more on getting out and running a lot of meters.”
Back in good shape
“The boys have come back in good shape. They burn off a yoyo test last Saturday with a really good average in the team. So it shows that they have kept up their form well at half-time. We are super happy about that. We have a good starting point physically, which we can then build on. It also means that we can focus more on the details of the game.”
A big family
After a long autumn season together, the team has achieved a better harmony, and at the call-up, the atmosphere was therefore also very good.
“Our team has become much more harmonious. The players talk to each other a lot more, and when they showed up, it was like a big family, where everyone was really happy to see each other again,” Ariyanayagam concludes.
The first week of training ended with an intense crossfit session on Saturday morning at Gladsaxe Crossfit.
AB will face a number of teams in preparation for the first tournament match on March 10. A list of opponents and dates will be published very soon.
