Finally a win – and what a win!

Finally a win – and what a win!
With 647 spectators on a lovely summer evening, AB Gladsaxe defeated BK Frem 6-0. It should be mentioned that it was not a goal short. Compared to the match last Sunday, Tobias Brogaard replaced an injured Oliver Børner in goal, and Gustav Overgaard Hansen and Simon Holden started. Adnan Curovic and Alessio Alicino had to sit on the bench. AB played a fantastic match with a solid effort across the board. AB was high on the pitch and with quick combinations, Frem’s defense often stood still. It was also difficult for Frem to get into the match because AB’s defense was completely stable. Approved across the board! AB went 1-0 up on a corner kick already after 13 minutes, where Marcus Gudmann got on the ball first and scored 1-0. Just 5 minutes later, AB won the ball and Frederik Ellegaard sprinted in his familiar style towards the goal with two Frem players trying to stop him. Emil Wass has followed and Frederik Ellegaard selflessly sends the ball across to Emil Wass, who scores to make it 2-0. A single wrong pass from AB gives Frem the chance to reduce the deficit, but the finish is too weak. 25 min. Frederik Ellegaard and Emil Wass are again on a dangerous mission in front of Frem’s goal. In the end, Emil Wass tips the ball over the goalkeeper for a 3-0 lead, which was also the score at halftime. BK Frem came out of the locker room with a little more direct play, and they managed to push AB back on the pitch. It only lasted a short time and didn’t create any dangerous chances for Frem. AB continues to control the game and can almost do whatever they want. Chances arise, and the game is still fast and beautiful. Then the referee awards a free kick after 64 min. to AB on the right side – a few meters outside the box. It’s Marcus Gudmann who shoots and he manages to put the ball in the net to lead 4-0. What a shot – and what a goal! Barely 5 min. Marcus Gudmann is again one of the players when he sends a pass into the box, where Mican Atici came sprinting and can put his foot on the ball. 5-0! The goal cavalcade ends when Mads Vang intercepts the ball and sends it over Frem’s goalkeeper from quite a distance to make it 6-0! A fantastic victory, a great game by the whole team and great support from AB Forever. Also a big thank you to BK Frem’s fans who supported their team from start to finish and who also helped create a great atmosphere at Gladsaxe Stadium. And thanks for leaving the stands litter-free – that’s style. Also a big thank you to the ball boys from IF Bytoften, who jumped in at short notice and all did a great job. After the match, head coach Patrick Birch Braune said: “We’ve waited so long for this redemption. We’ve performed really well and today both the performance and the result were there too. We came out firing and there were just so many good performances today. Gudmann is playing a fantastic game both with goals and defensively. Gustav is playing like a seasoned player in his first start. But first and foremost a whole team effort. Offensively, we see some relationships we haven’t seen before, where they find each other selflessly. Big credit to them not just the ones scoring the goals, but it’s a huge team effort today. We win 6-0 today and it was completely deserved. We have to rejoice now. It was a great performance and an excellent evening at Gladsaxe Stadium”. Captain Silas Trier Madsen said after the match: “6-0! I’ve never done that before. It was a football party out there. We were really ready today. The full-court pressure was perfect and they couldn’t keep up with the high tempo we played at. We created an insane amount of chances and combined really well. It was the best we’ve played in a long time. I actually think the 6-0 win was fully deserved. We dominated the match from start to finish. So now we just have to enjoy the victory”. The starting line-up with substitutions: 3 Gustav Overgård Hansen 4 Anton Basbas Pedersen 7 Frederik Ellegaard out – 23 Mican Atici in 8 Emil Wass out – 9 Emil Mygind out 11 Oliver Angus out – 5 Adnan Curovic in 17 Christoffer Thrane 18 Simon Holden out – 21 Alessio Alicino in 19 Albert Nørager 22 Silas Trier Madsen 25 Tobias Brogaard (goal) 30 Marcus Mustac Gudmann Next match is the cup match on Tuesday, October 30, 2022 at 17.15 against Kastrup BK away.
