AB Gladsaxe will play another training match on Thursday 6 February at 11:30. This time it is the team from the International Academy from FC Nordsjælland, who AB meets in Right to Dream Park in Farum.
AB has trained well with high intensity before the match, has practiced interaction in small areas and trained combat situations in relation to both attack and defense.
FC Nordsjælland naturally fields young players. It is a talented and skilled team that AB will face. AB also fields young academy players, and it will be exciting to see how they fit into the game.
After Wednesday’s training, head coach Joey Gudjonsson emphasized that FCN’s way of playing will be a good test for AB:
“It’s an interesting game for us and they also want to play against us, so that’s fine. They are players with many qualities, even if it is a young team. They are very good at keeping the ball, they want to play along the lines, and they are aggressive in their pressure and in building up their game.
I think it can be a really good test for us. We have a game again on Saturday, so we alternate a bit, so we can also save a little on our strength.
It is a good opportunity for us to train the build-up of the game and work on how to get through their defense. FCN’s philosophy is that they will not let the opponent play through them, so it is a good test for us. We have to be ready, even if we play against a young team.
We also bring some of the young players. I would have liked to have had more people with me, but they are in school and some of them are taking exams at this time. But it’s really nice that we have some U19 players with us, and we will include them in the game tomorrow,” Joey Gudjonsson concludes.
