Fantastic backdrop and 3-3 at Østerbro

Fantastic backdrop and 3-3 at Østerbro. There was sunshine over Østerbro Stadion when AB Gladsaxe and B.93 met earlier in the evening. There was a festive atmosphere and the 2,427 spectators gave the match a fantastic backdrop. The match ended 3-3 and thus there was one point for each team.

Compared to the last match, Frederik Lindgaard and Emiliano Gomez both started on the bench, and were replaced in the starting lineup by Emil Wass and Gustav Overgaard Ha

nsen. AB got off to a good start and was good in defense. After 10 minutes, Silas Trier Madsen intercepts the ball, plays Søren Ilsøe, who with a fantastic pass through the middle of B.93’s back line sends Emil Wass towards the goal, and he scores safely for 1-0. Just 10 minutes later, the 2nd division’s top scorer Frederik Ellegaard fights his way free and scores for 2-0. Not even 10 minutes passed before it was the two offensive players who showed their skills again. Frederik Ellegaard intercepts the ball and plays Emil Wass, who runs across and sends the ball into the goal with his left foot for 3-0.

B.93 also had chances, but Albert Gaub-Jakobsen had a great game and made several great saves. The faithful AB Forever crowd started the classic: “Four, four, four, four, zero”, but unfortunately it didn’t work out that way. With a short time left in the first half, B.93’s Jeppe Erenbjerg ran the fastest and was able to reduce to 1-3. That gave them renewed faith into the locker room.

B.93 comes out for the 2nd half with a faster and more precise game. After just 5 minutes, B.93’s Nicolaj Thomsen can reduce to 2-3. Then B.93 starts a lot of pressure and AB has to use all its strength to defend itself. B.93 has many shots, but fortunately the ball ended up over the goal or with Albert Gaub-Jakobsen. In the referee’s overtime, B.93 equalizes with an AB own goal to make the match 3-3.

After the match, head coach Simon Ervolder Andresen said: “A great match here at Østerbro Stadium on Friday night. A very nice stage to play on with the many fans in the stands – you have to respect that here in the 2nd division. We play a really good 1st half, where we follow our game plan and hit B.93, where we know we can hit them. We are so pressed in the 2nd half, but are disappointed that we don’t get the win when we are leading 3-0. We also have to respect that we are facing a good team, but I think the players are putting in a huge fight and effort that deserves great respect.”

Captain Silas Trier Madsen said: “Stop a football match. A football match that was played at a crazy high pace. We start really well and are really good in the counter-phase. We create a lot of chances and are good at taking advantage of them. We get ahead both 1, 2 and 3 nil. Then B.93 comes back really well. We also know that they have everything to play for and they must not give up points. So they put a lot of pressure on us and also have the luck of getting the ball in at the end. Then it will be really exciting, where we stand down and parry the ball away. The match could have been anything and then ends in the end with a cross. A wild football match”.
