It is a strong opponent that awaits AB Gladsaxe when they travel to Næstved on Saturday 8 February 2025 to play the fifth training match before the spring season starts. Here, the divisionalcolleagues from Næstved BK will welcome AB at 12.00 in Maglemølle Storhallen, Nygårdsvej 104 in Næstved.
The last time AB was in Næstved was in November, where AB lost 1-0 in the tournament. Næstved BK spendsthe winter in 4th place in the 2nd division and AB occupies 7th placeone – it sets the stage for an exciting and close training match.
Næstved BK played 0-0 with Fremad Amager in their last friendly match, and AB comes into the match with two wins in the last friendly matches against Brønshøj and FC Nordsjælland’s international academy.
Head coach Joey Gudjonsson I see many good improvements after the first part of the startup. He I think that the whole squad is in a good place both mentally and physically, now that there is a month until the first game of the spring season.
“We arevery happy with the performance against the academy team from FC Nordsjælland. We are satisfied with many things in the build-up of the game and in the defense. In the majority of the games we have played here in the start-up, we have played really well. However, we must have a strong focus on when we lead in a match, that we continue to play our own game. We led 2-0 against Brønshøj and 3-0 against FCN, but we get goals against us. Maybe it’s because concentration is failing and we Must be better at staying focused for 90 minutes.
It is a good game for us to play against Næstved, because they have a good team, good players and are well organized. We need to have more focus and concentration in the match even if it is a trainingslick so that we are able to do the right things.
I believe that we can continue to improve our attacking play. We create a lot of chances and we get into better positions, so we also score goals.
I want us to focus on the whole game so that we also become better at controlling the defense. Even though we are in more possession, we have to To have more focus on the opponent’s transitions and the last part of the defense.
We are still in the beginning, the players are training a lot physically, tactically and technically. The weather has been fine, so we haven’t had to cancel trainings. We have always been able to fill up for training, play a lot of matches and the majority of the players are in good shape.
DIt’s a tough time with great demands on the players, but they work really hard both outside and in the hall. Although there are still opportunities to improve things towards the start of the season, we are really happy with where we stand right now both on the mental side and also the physical side ,” concludes Joey Gudjonsson.
