Akademisk Boldklub A/S has entered into an agreement with Degerfors IF, which gives right back Erik Lindell the opportunity to return to his former club.
“Erik asked to return to Degerfors at the beginning of the summer – it is his wife’s hometown and they want to move back for family reasons,” says sporting director Jen Chang.
“We appreciate Erik’s hard work and efforts in the past season, and his personality will be missed in the dressing room.”
Lindell signed with AB in July 2023 after spending the previous 6 seasons in Degerfors.
“Even though it was only a single season in the green and white jersey, I take many good experiences with me from AB. I would like to thank all players, staff and fans for a year that did not end as we had hoped, but still had some really good moments, with especially the quarter-finals of the cup as the highlight. So thank you for everything. I will now follow AB as a fan,” says Lindell.

AB has also signed a loan agreement with Ishøj IF for striker Ahmed Hassan. Hassan joins the newly promoted Ishøj in the 24/25 season.
