The 23-year-old midfielder Emil Wass leaves AB Gladsaxe after three seasons and 70 games in the AB shirt. Emil moves to NordicBet Liga side FC Helsingør, who have bought the player out of his contract at AB Gladsaxe. The decision comes as a result of Emil’s own desire to seek new challenges at a higher level.
The club has had no intention of stopping the collaboration with Emil, but respects that his personal ambitions have led to this decision.
“We were all surprised and saddened by Emil’s desire to leave the club,” says CEO Erik Stover.
“We thought Emil was committed to AB and our rebuilding plan. We had no intention of ending the collaboration with Emil, and we are sad to see him leave the club. He has made a decision and we can do nothing but respect it,” Sover elaborates.
Emil himself says: “I have had two fantastic years in AB and been incredibly excited about the club and the project. But it’s the perfect time in my career to challenge myself to an even higher level. I would like to thank everyone at the club for their huge support, and a special thank you goes to our fantastic fans.”
We wish Emil all the best in the future.
