Defensive talent Christian Espensen Troelsen – also known as ET – has signed a new contract with AB Gladsaxe. ET is 19 years old and has just graduated from university. He is now taking time off from further education to focus on football.
ET started at the KFUM in Emdrup and came to AB as an U11. He has been in AB since then, except for one year as an U15 in FC Nordsjælland. He came back to AB to seek new challenges, where he found a good development environment with good teammates and coaches.
This season there have been 23 matches and 2 goals on AB’s U19 team, where ET has been captain. On the 1st team in the 2nd division he has played 6 matches, where he was in the starting lineup in both matches. Here he showed his great talent for large periods.
ET has been getting up early for 1.5 years to participate in morning training at the local Sports College Gladsaxe. “It was great to have morning training next to high school. The training was at a high level and there was time to work on specific areas and go into detail”, says ET. “I am now looking forward to starting training with the players and the new coach. It is an important start-up period where I will do my best”, concludes ET.
“Christian has been an important part of the academy’s U19 team and is a good role model for the younger AB generation. He already has a professional approach to things and a good work ethic. We look forward to seeing him continue his development in the upcoming season,” says head coach David Roufpanah.
