Cup match AB Gladsaxe meet Kastrup BK
It’s time for the 2nd round of the DBU Cup when AB Gladsaxe travels to Kastrup on Tuesday, August 30 to face Kastrup BK. Kastrup BK has gotten off to a great start in Serie 1 and is currently no. 2 in the table after 3 matches, of which Kastrup BK has won 2 matches. Most recently, Kastrup BK won 5-1 away from home against FC Nyhavn. The match referee Nicki Nordlund Hansen will blow the whistle at 17:15 at Røllikevej 5 in Kastrup. In the cup, Kastrup BK won the 1st round of the cup tournament with 3-1 over Mosede BK. AB won its first cup match in Frederiksberg Idrætspark with a 4-2 win over Frederiksberg Boldklub. It is a match that is remembered both for the many goals, and also for an atmospheric stadium. So come to Kastrup and back the guys up for another trophy victory. Head coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “Kastrup is a relatively new acquaintance. We played them in the cup a couple of years ago. We got a really strong win on Friday. We need to take that mindset to Kastrup. Cup games have a life of their own and we expect Kastrup to come out with a huge spirit. Hopefully you can see a difference in quality. We also know that some things can suddenly arise that make the match tricky, even if there is a difference in the ranks. But of course we’re aiming for promotion and we’ll be happy afterwards.” The squad and starting line-up will be announced on Facebook an hour before kick-off.
