AB Gladsaxe plays its first home game of the spring season when Kolding IF visits Gladsaxe Stadium tomorrow, Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 12:45. After last week’s disappointing 1-0 defeat to B.93, AB must get back on the horse and get points against Kolding IF to stay on top. It will be a difficult task against in-form Kolding IF, who finished the fall season well. They have come storming out to the spring season and have won their first four matches, most recently 2-1 over FC Roskilde.
Kolding IF is in 4th place in the table with 40 points, and AB is right on their heels in 5th place with 39 points. It can hardly be that close. The two clubs’ first meeting at Kolding Stadium on September 17 ended with a 0-1 defeat to AB. It was a match where Kolding’s physical play dominated the game and AB struggled to get the ball down on the grass and set the play. So the team knows what to expect and really needs to step up and be ready from the start.
Head Coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “It will be an exciting match against Kolding. We’ve played two close games so far and haven’t gotten the points we hoped for and deserved. Kolding is a highly competent opponent with a strong expression. We believe we have some tools that can hurt them. We have to respect Kolding because it’s not a coincidence that they have won so many games. This is a team that has only conceded 13 goals. It’s going to be an exciting match and we’re looking forward to opening Gladsaxe Stadium again. The stadium people are working hard to get the pitch ready, but the weather is not on our side at the moment. So we have to play according to the conditions and just enjoy playing at Gladsaxe Stadium again – we’re looking forward to it.”
The coaching team has selected the following gross squad for the match:
2 Rasmus Møller
