Amazing comeback from 0-2 to 4-2 away from home
AB Gladsaxe played tonight’s match against HIK on the artificial turf pitch in Hellerup. It was set up for an exciting match as both teams had 4 points. The conditions for a good match were present: Friday evening, sunshine and good mood in the stands on the sidelines. We sit at halftime and say to each other that there’s nothing we can do about it. So the only thing we can focus on is making a comeback. We look at each other and everyone agreed on that – and then there was just a positive atmosphere that we had to go out and deliver something. And that’s what we did. With an absolutely fantastic victory after being 2-0 down at half-time”. Captain Silas Trier Madsen said after the match: “What can you say? We’re just so incredibly happy and proud. We’re at half-time and we’re 2-0 down. We’re just so damn annoyed to be behind. We think we had the most control of the match. We’re the ones who create a lot of chances. We scored two goals that were disallowed. They score some goals on mistakes we make. So we sit at halftime and look each other in the eye and say to ourselves that we can easily win this game. Because we’re a really good football team and we go out and do it. It’s just a fantastic team performance and it shows that we have a lot of winning mentality in the club.
