All hands on deck at Østerbro Stadium
AB Gladsaxe will once again play a top match. This time against B.93 tomorrow Friday, March 24 at 19.00 at Østerbro Stadium, Gunnar Nu Hansen Plads 7. B.93 occupies 2nd place in the 2nd division and AB is in 3rd place, so it’s set up for a very exciting and even match. AB picked up a great point against the league’s leading team, Aarhus Fremad in the first round of the spring season. In the second round last week, AB was the underdog, as the matches were played against Jammerbugt FC. B.93 has gotten off to a great start in the spring season. This has resulted in wins of 2-0 over Thisted FC and 3-1 over FC Roskilde. So AB will face an in-form opponent. In the two clubs’ first meeting in September, AB won 3-1 at Gladsaxe Stadium. AB’s goals on that occasion were scored by Emil Mygind, Frederik Ellegaard and Emil Wass. In Friday’s match against B.93, AB will have to do without Frederik Ellegaard, who is out with quarantine. Head coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “We’re looking forward to Friday’s match against B.93. It will be insanely exciting. It was an excellent setting the last time we played there on a Friday night. We hope we get to experience that again. Of course, it’s a really difficult opponent, who are really strong and just a good team. When you look down the paper with their names, it’s well put together. It demands a certain respect. We have also shown quality ourselves and we have to believe in our own abilities.
