All hands to Gladsaxe Stadium!

Football is back on at Gladsaxe Stadium, where AB Gladsaxe takes on Esbjerg fB tomorrow. Monday, April 10, 2023 (Easter Monday), at 14.00, it’s the last round of the playoffs, and both teams are in the promotion playoffs, which start the following week. Esbjerg fB hasn’t started the spring season as well as they probably hoped and expected, and they recently lost to Thisted.

On the other hand, AB is also looking for its first win of the spring season. So it will be two teams that are both going for a win. It promises to be an exciting match, with only one point separating the two teams in the table before the game. AB drew 2-2 in Skive on Maundy Thursday. It was the second match in a row where AB was trailing 0-2 at halftime and again had to fight with everything they had to get the draw. And they succeeded. In the two clubs’ first meeting of the season in August, AB lost 2-3 at Blue Water Arena. It was otherwise a fine AB match with good play, and where AB, especially in the second half, put Esbjerg fB under pressure. The match on Monday at Gladsaxe Stadium at 14:00 will be refereed by Jacob Stausgaard Kobberrød.

Head coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “Now it’s Esbjerg in a new match in a few days. We haven’t been so lucky with our match schedule. Esbjerg got a break on Thursday, when they were due to play Aarhus Fremad. So you have to anticipate that there will be somewhat uneven energy in relation to the match. “We need to be sharper than we were in Skive. There has been a fantastic morale in the last two games, where we have come back in the games, and it is quite unique that you can do that two games in a row. So now we would like to get ahead and also get a win. That’s what we’ll go out and do everything we can to succeed against Esbjerg.”

The coaching team selects the starting lineup from the following gross squad:

25 Tobias Brogaard (goal)

2 Rasmus Møller

3 Gustav Overgaard Hansen

5 Adrien Koudelka

6 Daniel Warmbach

7 Frederik Ellegaard

8 Emil Wass
