It is a top team that will meet on Friday 24 May at 19:00 at Gladsaxe Stadium, when AB Gladsaxe welcomes FC Roskilde. FC Roskilde is in 3rd place with 52 points, and Aarhus Fremad is in the promotion place (2nd place) with 56 points.
So it is an extremely important match for FC Roskilde, and we must assume that AB will play against a highly motivated team that will fight to hang on in the final sprint. The last match on April 19 in Roskilde ended 1-1 between the two teams. Tim Freriks equalized in the 81st minute. It was a good point on a very difficult away field. It was a game where FC Roskilde got on the game at the start of the game and Albert Gaub-Jakobsen had to go out at full length on some good Roskilde attempts. AB fought hard and came much better in the 2nd half. Equalized and watched over the whole game, a draw was probably a fair result. FC Roskilde’s last game ended 0-0 at home in Roskilde Idrætspark. AB drew 1-1 at home at Gladsaxe Stadion against Nykøbing FC.
The match will be refereed by Anders Skjødt Voergaard together with the line judges Simon Blond and Sidsel Fabricius Dall.

AB’s interim head coach Fabiana Alcalá says after today’s training: “We are very excited and we are looking forward to the match against FC Roskilde. It will be an exciting match, because Roskilde is playing for promotion. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t aim to win. The last time we met them, the game ended 1-1, but we had a chance to win. Friday night we hope to get revenge and take the 3 points. It has been a short time where I have been head coach, but it has been exciting. It has been a personal dream, but also challenging. I’ve had good players and a good staff that have helped me through the process we’ve been through. It is very important to have that support, and it has helped me to grow as a coach. Of course I will miss it, but I will still be part of the coaching staff, so when Joye comes, I hope I can help him a lot so that he can help the players to exploit their potential.”
Rasmus Brodersen follows up with these words about the match: “The training this week has been good. There has been a good mood and a good atmosphere. We always look forward to playing at home in front of our fantastic fans. We hope to give them a win – they deserve it. We had a bit of an empty feeling after the Nykøbing game, when it should have been 3 points. We must again try to build on a good first half against Nykøbing, and if we can put together two good halves, then I am sure we will take 3 points.”
