Abdul-Rauf Sulemana from FCN to AB on loan
AB Gladsaxe has hired the soon-to-be 22-year-old Ghanaian striker Abdul-Rauf Sulemana from FC Nordsjælland. Abdul-Rauf has trained with AB during the summer and this has resulted in a loan deal on the last day of the transfer window. With his offensive and creative skills, he can make a difference in matches. Abdul-Rauf will have his first training session as an AB player on Monday afternoon. Head coach Patrick Birch Braune says: “Abdul-Rauf is a player we have hired from FC Nordsjælland. He’s unorthodox and brings some diversity that we think we’ve been lacking. It will give us some more options offensively. We don’t have the biggest squad in the world, so it was also important to bring Abdul-Rauf in. Abdul-Rauf has a character and a personality that is very approachable. We can give him the opportunity to showcase himself on a European stage that he hasn’t had before. That’s worth pursuing. So we give Abdul-Raul a big welcome to AB”. Abdul-Rauf says: “I’m very happy to be able to come to AB. I hope to get some playing time so I can build on my skills. I’ve been told that AB is a historic and traditional football club and I want to be a part of that. My first step is to train well and play alongside the players. I come from Right to Dream and FC Nordsjælland. I couldn’t play with them, so I got the chance to come to AB. I’m ready to play and will work hard and do what I can in AB.” Welcome to Abdul-Rauf!
