AB signs contract with Nicholas Christoffersen

AB A/S has added Danish goalkeeper Nicholas “Nick” Christoffersen to a contract until June 2027.

Head coach, Joey Gudjonsson, is happy with his new goalkeeper:

“We are pleased to be able to add Nick to our already strong setup of keepers. Nick is a physically strong goalkeeper with a high game IQ and we look forward to working with him over the next few years.”

23-year-old Christoffersen was born in Montreal and played a youth career at the academy of Toronto FC and has previously received offers from MLS clubs. He is looking forward to moving his career to Denmark:

“It’s a really good club, and there is a good future in AB. It’s great to start a life in a new club and at the same time be in a place you know.”

The goaltender has played for the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) throughout his college years. He captained their football team and was selected to the prestigious First Team All-Ivy League and Academic All-Ivy League during his time at the university.

“Nick is a talented goalie who has had a great career at UPenn against top college opponents,” says AB’s athletic director, Jen Chang, and continues; “He has the whole foundation in place and is well schooled from Toronto FC’s strong academy. Nick adds depth and competition to the squad for the goalkeeper position.”

Nicholas Christoffersen has joined the squad in the team’s preparations for the spring season.
